I was infected with HIV VIRUS by my long-term regular partner. The challenge for every positive person is to take back control of their lives, in "Living Positively" with the virus. I'd always believed that good health was never maintained only by taking medication. More than ever, HIV reinforced for me that health is not just physical health, but also mental, emotional and spiritual well-being. An important part of the healing process for me is to be active in HIV/AIDS education, support and advocacy. I volunteer in a number of HIV/AIDS organizations, and in particular Positive Men/Women, because the impact of HIV /AIDS on women is very different than from men. As once a HIV positive person, I will forever be grateful to God Almighty and DR ABIOLA to reach me when i thought it iscould be cured by any herbal medicine, I want to make sure that HIV never happens to anyone else. What a successful event! A total of 55 Health and Medical practitioner attended. Facilitators were experts drawn from the Ministry of Health and Child Care.

The Ministry of Health and Child Care in partnership with Kidzcan Zimbabwe launched a historic platform for dialogue on paediatric cancer management, care and support from the 7th to the 9th of December 2015. This workshop brought together health professionals, key experts on cancer epidemiology, diagnosis, treatment and care as well as health governance. Sponsored by Delta Corporation Limited, the sessions were held at Mandel Training Centre. The workshop was officially opened by the Honourable Deputy Minister of Health and Child Care, Aldriin Musiiwa, who emphasised the need for concerted effort from all key stakeholders in the management of cancer and more specifically paediatric cancer in Zimbabwe.
The health professionals were drawn from all levels of the Public Health System, which is from the Central Hospitals, Provincial Hospitals, and District Hospitals. The City Health Departments for Bulawayo and Harare Cities were also represented. The two and a half training was a success with the last day set aside as a brainstorming session for the way forward. It was agreed that the trained personnel will cascade the information and Kidzcan as well as the Ministry of Health and Child Care (NCD Department) will assist in the roll out of the programme.

Gratitude is also extended to the Hospital Information Services, Jehovah’s Witness Head Zimbabwe, Mr Hunguka for enlightening us about the Alternative to Blood Products. These will surely have a biblical, health, and economic advantage.
